Ocean City,NJ 08226 hardwood floor installation and hardwood floor refinishing

This is a client that we have done work for before. We actually refinished their hardwood floors in this house in the living room, dining room and steps and also did a hardwood floor refinishing project at another property they have. When they called me they were having their sun porch made into a 3 season room and wanted raw hardwood floors installed in there. Because this is a 3 season room and won't be heated in the winter we went with the same floors they had in the rest of the house. They have red oak 5/16ths thick by 2 inches wide and all face nailed. This was the bests option for them because there won't be much movement in this wood. If we had gone with a 3/4 inch thick wood because of the moisture and temperature change it could cup.  This wood was delivered a week before the job was started, so it could acclimate to the homes environment. The first day we installed  the floor, after that the floor was skim coated, which is done with wood fill to hide the face nails. The next day we came back and sanded the floor then applied a natural seal coat and a coat of 100% oil based polyurethane.  The next day we went back and the floor was screened and the final coat of polyurethane was applied. I love these clients, they are great people and we were suppose to start this job the week of hurricane Sandy, well we all  kind of figured that the job was going to be postponed. My heart broke when I spoke to them after the storm because they lost the whole first floor of their house. Well they have rallied back and are getting all the work done, and during this time we were doing the  2nd story room which overlooks the bay. Once all of the contractors are out of the house we will be doing a screen & coat on the floors we did years ago. We will also be refinishing their hardwood floors in their bedrooms which are now carpeted but have hardwood floors underneath them.
